2025 Shanghai Rising Star Basketball Championship
As one of Shanghai’s key self-owned youth ‘three major ball sports’ events, the ‘Rising Star’ Basketball Championship has been developed over the past two years, with significantly improved levels of professionalism, marketization, and internationalization. It has been awarded Shanghai’s Class D event brand certification and has become an important platform for promoting the development of basketball in the city.
The 2025 edition, themed ‘Encounter the Future,’ focused on the U16 age group. Eight high-level U16 youth teams from around the world, featuring nearly 100 ‘rising star’ players, gathered on court. Over five days of intense competition, they delivered 18 exciting matchups for audiences. The event was broadcast globally via multi-platform media livestreaming, presenting a world-class youth basketball showcase to audiences worldwide.
